Ardennes Forrest 11 May 1940
Ardennes Forrest 11 May 1940
Just setting up for a bit of 10mm WW2 action !
Dawn, the morning after the German invasion of the West, somewhere in the middle of the Ardennes Forrest.
This battle is based on actual events and best research of the time.
The two string lines are the opposing FEBA's (Belgian on the left, German on the right)
A well prepared and supported Belgium Chasseur Ardennes Infantry Brigade, launches a dawn counter attack on the lead units of the attacking Panzer Division. The Germans are just quietly finishing their breakfast when the Belgium's launch their surprise counter attack (the only one in the Ardennes).
A Battalion of German Jagers is deployed (hidden) defending their Day 1 capture of the 'twin bridges'. On the road and getting ready to move is the Panzer Div Recce regiment of 1 Armoured Car Squadron and 2 Motor Cycle Companies. Followed by the Battle group HQ Coy, then a Tank Coy (Pz3's) followed by A/T Coy (37mm) then an Assault Engineer Company. The Germans have no Arty Support (obviously, too far back and not deployed) but they do have Stuka support on call.
The Belgians are attacking with 3 x highly motivated infantry Battalions (each of 3 Coys) but with no mortars or HMG's ( Chasseur Ardennes didnt have any, Germans do !) but they did have a Company of T3 SP A/T Guns and a recce Coy of T15's. Also in Belgium support is a battery of 75's and a Squadron of reluctant French cavalry. I will tell you how the battle goes.

What message does it give? If too big then the forum restricts the size so you need to rescale them. We only have so mucb storage space. Though we could pay for more...
If any other message then let me know.
It is 21st century technology. But the budget is 1980s...
