A Bash of Shields
A Bash of Shields
Paul dropped in at mine today for a prequel game of his Dark Age rules adapted from A Song of Ice and Fire. They worked great and we only found a couple of tweaks to clarify for November. My Saxon's saw off Paul's Viking raiders but with many casualties. It went down to the wire in the last turn with a lone mounted Huscarl warrior holding it for the Saxons just long enough to break the Viking nerve.
Re: A Bash of Shields
Thanks for the hospitality.
It was a fun game and swung by the reluctance of the Vikings Strathclyde allies to charge that pesky lone Huscarl !!
At least my Raiders were suitably vicious

Looking good Tim. Are those metal chaps the Arthurian "Huscarls" from Warlord?
