Does everyone know the traditional fairy tale of the miscast tin soldier who falls in love with a music box ballerina?
I have long had this miscast figure & decided, for a bit of fun, to paint, shade & base it as a representation of the fairy tale.
Not sure what I'll do with it.

Poor fellow. Certainly deserves to get painted and given a veterans pension.

He *is* painted. I got him years ago from a chap I wasn't sure about. He was a civil servant & I thought he might have links with MI5 & get a "hit" on me if I complained.
It turned out the chap was a very genuine article & I needn't have worried.

Oh, that's me!
And that's one of my figures! Sorry, I didn't recognise it on my teeny weeny phone screen.
Did I send him to you, or was it that Brummie/Welsh scoundrel in Caernarfon?
I can send a two legged version if you want a replacement......actually, I can send you quite a few......

I'm pretty sure the damaged figure came in a huge job-lot from you. And thank you but I don't need a replacement.
I think I'll use the one-legged fellow as one of the jokey trophies we give each other after various games. There's a plastic Napoleon sitting backwards on his horse & a gold-painted pig & this could add to the jocularity of the practice.

There's a General E. Pickled joke buried somewhere in Napoleon facing backwards on a horse but tbh i'm not sure its worth the effort just to get another git award.

I think I feel OK about that.
