A company called "Airpower" used to be very nice, QRF marketted them.. I wish I knew where my old ones went
My first real wargaming was 1/300 Aerial using the old Newbury rules. We used H&R back then.
Raiden are very good, very similar to the Airpower ones IIRC.

Raiden are generally excellent. For 1/300 Scotia Grendel & H&R have larger ranges but are very variable in their quality.
I believe the original owners of Raiden produced the Airpower range under the name of B&M. They just switched scales from 1/300 to 1/285 when producing the Raiden aircraft.

Needless to say, I'm enormously grateful.
Thank you.

I'm curious of your plans
If you want to recreate massive waves of Luftwaffe Bombers etc... then the Odzial Osmy and Tumbling dice 1/600 are pretty nice too and worth considering.

I agree that 1/600 are a good way of doing large scale battles such as the Battle of Britain or the 8th Air Force bombing of Germany in '44/'45.

Thank you gents, but my plan is simply to paint a few planes for the fun of it.......somewhat inspired by Mr Slug's recent piccies.
