Ayton 2nd-5th May 2025

Post by goat major »

I think these are the correct dates for the May bank holiday in 2025....

There were some alcohol lubricated conversations regarding games next year.

I think people were generally angling towards a selection of games (just as per this year).

The ones I think I can remember being mentioned were:

- Something Culloden-y ? (Gary?)
- Something DBN-y (Peeler)
- Iain and Andy in a Clash of the Spencer Smith and Minden Titans
- Lace Hulk meets Venice above and below ground (Dave, Jamie, Paul, Gary, Buff and myself)

My memories are probably wrong - so the point of this thread is to see what people fancy doing !

I've hinted... It may take him a while to convert all his SSMs to lobsters and floppy hats...

In all seriousness, your list seems about right.

Thanks for starting the ball rolling.

If Lace Hulk can accomodate more I'll jump in on it. Has anyone got a force of British Grenadiers? If not I have my eye on some figures to make my characters.

If Lace Hulk is a one day game or if by some miricle I can wangle the Friday off I'll throw Dark Ages or Second Punic War into the mix. I have made a small start on my Romans and now I have a good number of the Dark Ages pile done I hope to crack on with the Romans next.

Its Venice Above Ground (with the huge cities from Paul & Jamie) with dungeons below, so not just Lace Hulk like this year. We are hoping to make it work for people to drop in for individual 1/2 days over the weekend. Period sort of 1650 - 1720 (ish).... so depends what era your grenadiers are.

Ah so my Andygeddon Swedes would probably work? They're 30YW Gustavus types.

After going through my random unpainted figure stash I have realised that the "Not" Venice project is the one i've been collecting stuff for over more than a decade without realising :D
