We had a fun little SYW club-night game last week, pitting the Hessians against the French in a refight of the suitably-sized Combat of Sanderhausen.
Here's the scenario: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2024/06/23/ ... r-tricorn/
And here's the AAR: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2024/07/04/ ... e-refight/

Lovely "little" (by European standards) action. Sounds like you had fun.

Thanks fellas! And yes it was a lot of fun. I think the arbitrary time-limit worked well, as the heavily-outnumbered Hessians did have a chance of frustrating the French objective.

A visual treat as always - even better for using the French & their wonderful flags.
And the battle (Combat) itself looks a promising choice for a future battle here.

Thanks Donald! Yes, it's a great little battle for a clubnight game or somesuch. At first glance it looks like a walk-over for the French, as they have FAR more units. However, in terms of numbers it's much closer, I beefed up the Hessian strength and stats and it seemed to work well enough.
