I'm not going to look (after selling my Prussian SYW figures I have some hobby money) - its a period I've always wanted to do - maybe I'll just look with one eye then

How do your rules (and figure:man ratios) deal with the principle characterstic* of Colonial-era warfare in India, namely the invariably massive disparity in numbers?
* Aside from the potential morale-sapping smell of any nearby river-cum-public toilet.

I wrote my own rules, published as "The Devil's Wind". In our games the disparity in numbers is not so great of course but dealt with by varying Pluck levels both before and during games. In BP which we use now -
- we vary Command ratings and Stamina. You can also reduce the Shooting and Combat dice. Adopting various Character Special Rules helps too. In the end though, it's a game of toy soldiers...
