Our December Show game - the Sudan- is approaching.
Tonight I put the finishing touches to the Bengal Lancers. My Mahdists were re-organised & touched up some weeks ago.
I am now finished with my prep for the Show game: forces are organised, painted & based. My pals will also contribute figures for both sides + 2 Arab dhows.
I have attached photos of my Anglo-Egyptian forces - 19 units + 2 Nile steamers. I am pretty pleased with the standard.
Tomorrow night, we will run them through a game situation to further familiarise ourselves with the rules. Shows are a fair bit of work but we still enjoy them immensely.

Looks lovely, Donald. I rather suspect that the presence of boats on the table will help attract a bigger-than-usual crowd.

Re: Roll call - the Sudan
We had a mid-sized game last night & it went fairly well - a few more tweaks to get the rules where we want them.
It may seem the Show is a long way away - December- but I'm "awae" for a month to see my girl in London etc in a few weeks.
We aim to get in a purely Nile game with the 4 boats & then a big game to see everything's fine.
There's only the 3 of us participating as the other 2 are OS. A pal is coming up from Sydney for the Show but we could do with 1-2 more people. What are you doing on the 7-8 December?

Everyone likes to see paddle boats going up the river, I'm sure this is going to look great.

Sadly, I shall probably be clearing away everyone else's crap so we can at least all see each other whilst celebrating Christmas. You have a great game, though, and post lots of piccies!
