Finished these today my interpretation of the Spanish infantry battalion Soira using Spencer Smith connoisseur hard plastic early Napoleonic infantry backdated to apx 1760.
I painted red trousers as the colours work well with the linen coats.

Very nice and yet more inspiration for the day when I finally start my Spanish and Italian armies.
Cheers Mark, there is something about Spanish flags that makes a unit stand out.
Willz.
Oh indeed! I think I'll probably do a Neapolitan force before the Spanish, but there isn't exactly a lot of information on Neapolitan flags. Those I have seen (a grand total of two examples!) look very much like Spanish flags with slightly different armorials, so I'll probably just use David's lovely Spanish flags.

based this unit more on Neopolitan than Spanish as Neapolitan wear red trousers.
