It's very quiet round here at the moment. As the weather is unseasonably pleasant how about a list of summertime activities for wargamers

1. Painting in the garden
2. Playing in the garden
3. Painting in the nude
4. Playing in the garden in the nude
.....

My garden is currently a cactus and the only thing mitigating playing in the nude there is that it is so damned cold my willy and its two little friends have retreated inside where it is warm.

I shall be reading about manganese mineralisation in Greece on my balcony, enjoying the brief appearance of winter sun preparatory to participating in what looks to be a geological debate of PMT proportions on Tuesday. I shall be dressed in a long sleeve Polo Shirt from the house of KMart and a pair of shorts.

Tomorrow, out and about in the winter sunshine watching childrens sport. Then a few ales at the rugby club. Parked in front of the TV otherwise & might crack out the painting kit if I can stay awake.

Next week I’ll be on my knees in the garden trying to paint 8 foot of teddy bear fur. I shall be wearing my old running shorts and an exasperated expression.

Is it easier if you skin them first?

Tomorrow I shall be braaing with young Jamanicus and then watching the rugby thereafter. I predict when we refight Waterloo down the club on Sunday, we may both be a tad under the weather

Who’s Teddy? And have you been confusing feet and inches again?

Summer is time for fishing, gardening and trying to prime stuff for the winter. I've worked out a rule of thumb 60:60 – it has to be at least 60 degrees F and the humidity lower than 60% to successfully prime. Ideal is 68 – 75 degrees and 50% or lower humidity – not many days like that.

Plenty here, but not for a few months.
