A while away but never too early to look forward to it. It's not been a bad show these last few years. Good one for a meet up, though the food is usually crap.

Yes, I think I’ll be going to this one. Missed last year as we were away in the Lakes. I want to go to the Armouries afterwards. Not done that yet either

Armouries are great if you've not been before. Its been looking a bit shabby of late and they've not had a lot of funding so demos etc have been a bit sparse but still worth a look. I was training with the guy who was head of the Japanese archives but he's gone back to Germany now. He had been hoping to get a kendo club going at the armouries and we had promised to help out, shame it didnt work out.

Looks like I’ll be there now, even if it’s just for a wander round (and pass a figure onto Jeremy :D )

The Armouries were looking great last year and are well worth a visit - the Perry diorama alone is worth it and the Pavia diorama is the cherry on top.

You can't really miss people at this show as its all in one big conference hall, the once named Saville Suite (since he paid for it I think) but they now have a much more acceptible name.

Park at the multi-story for the armouries and just walk round the corner if you've not been before. It's just opposite the armouries entrance. Expect a frisking if visiting the armouries!

Shall we meet up 1pm at the little cafe thing just at the entrance of the show? Gives us time to make purchases to compare.

Great way to showcase the hobby, particularly to the young.

You couldn't fail to notice the massive pictures of the bastard all over the place. It was surreal.

He died just before the 2011 show and there was a book of remembrance open for the public in the foyer. I suspect that was shredded a few days later.

The venue is now called New Dock Hall.

Suggest meeting at the Ainsty stand (bright green cabinets, can’t miss them) at 12?
