Caulk

Right, so many of you clever chaps have been dabbling in caulk for a while now, and as per usual, I’m behind the curve.
I want to make some roads, and have watched various ‘how-to’ videos and looked at several blogs.
My question to those in the know is, which brand of caulk do you recommend? I gather I mustn’t get silicone as it won’t hold paint. And some caulks are prone to cracking. Advice please?
TIA!

Get acrylic, preferably pre coloured. I don't know if you looked at my blog, but I also bought a new shirt.

Acrylic definetly. I was tempted into the Wilko ones for a £1 a pop but tbh I think the Polyfilla ones are worth the extra money. I dont have a new shirt. Nothing to see here, move on.

Neither do I, I used it to give a backing to my caulk creeks and roads. But I waited ten years.

Thanks guys. LT, I’ll give the Polyfilla a go. It’s a brand I know as we used to use it back in SA

Oh, and wet your tools so they don't get gunked.

Now that has to be a euphemism!

Nah, you can't sculpt caulk with a euphemism. I use a butter knife and some plasticine sculpting tools I found in the supermarket.

Adding Bull semen into your caulk helps with adhesion.
