Trying to decide which WW2 force should be next. Which would you choose, and why? Both appeal to me equally

Blitzkrieg Germans - because that's what I'd do...

Fallies.
Paint ‘em up in plain smocks for early war, camo for mid/late, mix in some desert kit for Brigade Ramke in North Africa, if you’re not fussy about mix ‘n match you can use them from Holland to Berlin.
The same figures will do you for Skorzeny’s commandos, lacklustre luftwaffe barrel-scrapings, and anything in between.
Match them against Brits, Yanks, Russkis, Aussies, Dutch, Free French, Ghurkas... probably a bunch more.

Once you have the line, you can paint up the fancies,. For your Norwegian campaign you will need gebeersjaggers or whatever they call themselves.

But, of course, this is all academic because you only bought the rules for research.

That’s exactly why they’re an option, their versatility. The only down side is there is no cross pollination of supports for them with either of my other German armies.
And well, because FJ are so damned cool and I’ve always wanted them.
But Blitzkrieg Germans.... jackboot wearing mofo’s with troop options like Zundapps and other funky kit.
It’s a tough choice!

Played the Norway campaign in SA just before we left. It was immense fun. Wargames wise, it’s just such an underestimated campaign. You do need a wide variety of kit for it though!

It’s an invalid poll - there’s no option for ‘both’.
But if you must have this deviant practice of “choice” then I’d go for Blitzkreig line. Because I like the early period of any war when it’s all a bit pants and has some comedy value and because you can field quite poor quality troops on the German side to balance out scenarios.
Although Early War Falschimjaeger are good value against Home Guard.
