Single figure basing.

The guy I played tonight had his plastic WWII Gerries on tuppeny bits. I've never been keen on this and have always much prefered plastic but then I've always used metal figures. There are some plastic sets I have my eye on and I liked how the tuppence gave the figure stability. Was wondering who uses what?

Washers & plastikard, depending upon purpose.

I do mine on magnetised rubber based on steel movement trays.

Renedra bases with a washer glued underneath. That way they can stick to magnetised sheets for travel and I do prefer a slightly thicker base for 28mm. For some reason I don’t like the Warlord lipped bases. I can’t tell you why.

Used to use tuppence until I discovered Wilco washers, now everything gets done on them and I’m even rebasing. Greater stability on teddy bear fur and as I line my troop storage with magnetic tape, greater protection when storing/transporting the precious things.

A 2p has a nice thick edge and plenty of heft. Not magnetic though, so LT's point makes a lot of sense.

I read somewhere that recently they had started making them magnetic.

Plastic bases are pure heresy.

I base everything on £1 coins.

It’s the only way Purps can add any value to his Hussars

Some/most are these days - 2p’s that is, not my points.
