Cheers, grizz!

Couldn't resist doing my CSA artillery after all that glueing. Again using the CP, I took a little extra time and applied a few different dilute layers on the pants and jackets to filter the basic tones to more satisfactory result. Here they are after one coat - very desaturated.

Now with a little extra effort and pigment -- took about 4 hours in all, most of which was spent on the gun. Squeal like a pig boys! Yee-haah! :vblove:

You're getting some stunning results with that stuff, and so quick.

Those gunners look smashing (strange, because they are the simplest figures you've done so far).

Lovely mix of greys/grays.

Is that Sergeant Harper looking a bit lost in the background? And those look smashing.

Cheers gentlemen. SB - that is indeed Sgt Harper in need of some direction in life. And a little more paint before he's done.

In the meantime, another day, another artillery crew.

Is that Larry Grayson fresh from shutting that door in the foreground? And those look smashing, too......

Did both sides paint their guns the same colour?

As usual, there's some debate about this, mostly regarding Confederate equipment. But, I found an excerpt from the CS Ordnance regs stating:

On the Union side, the consensus seems to be that OD was the standard, but I'm sure there's bound to be something contrary to that floating around the interwebs.

First test print with my 3D Printer. Not great, but not bad either for the factory settings. I'll certainly paint it up and consider it the beginning of my Peninsular terrain...
