Definitely good to keep it as is for me. I was keeping quiet that I couldn't make the second weekend as I didn't want to be a 'fly in the ointment' if people wanted to change the date...phew!

Good for me. Better in fact. As Bank holiday Friday traffic last two years has been akin to a moderate rectal tear.

Well, I don't know. Us retired folk have commitments you know? I suppose I could stick to the original plan, at a squeeze.

Oh, OK then.

I do hope that the commemorations will keep things authentic. Bunting made out of worn out sacking, Vera Lynn on the gramophone and a menu of tripe, spam or whale meat with roast turnip washed down by acorn tea sweetened with minced turnip and pineapple surprise*
There should be some Americans for Gaynor and the harpies to shag in exchange for some nylons.

*It's a turnip

Shouldn’t they do something different from normal? 🤔

I’m still waiting to receive instructions from the Working Committee as to what we’ll be playing

The main game is 18thC, but I'm sure that as usual other games will be on offer. Whatever games are played, the objective is an overarching sense of togetherness, common cause and shared enjoyment of the weekend.

Dave and I will be getting together in July to move this along. So please stop holding your breath.
