I've been "gifted" a frame of the 28mm plastic Warlord AWI militia. Am I right to assume that they would also be suitable for the French-Indian War, and therefore don't break the 'no new periods' rule?

Norm assures me that if they have been gifted it's not a new period.

Speaking as a man who picked up a generous bagful from both Ian and Andy today, I am in no state to deny the truth of this.

Short answer - I don't think anyone will ridicule you for using AWI figures in the FIW (I certainly wouldn't).

Long(er) answer - The clothing would have altered a wee bit between 1755 and 1775: cuffs would have been smaller and shaped more closely to the lines of the sleeve; the tricorne hat would be less equilateral and more isosceles when viewed from above. More importantly, I'm not sure hunting shirts were around in the FIW era; Colonial troops certainly did not carry rifles in the earlier conflict. From looking on the Warlord website, I would say use them.

Thanks. Given the large number of options contained in the frame (eg around 30 heads for 10 torsoes) I suspected that they'd turn out to br fairly flexible.
