Anyone hear anything about this?
Yes, it's in Ascot racecourse, all confirmed.

And thanks for all the kind words, chaps! :moredrink:

Royal ascot?

Great show then if you drive, otherwise, no chance.

Yes, that's the one. I'll always be driving in any case, due to hauling enormous amounts of lead, but I think it's got a railway station, hasn't it? I seem to remember passing through Ascot railway station shortly after leaving Reading and heading south.

By the power of Google, Ascot station is serviced by trains from Reading and London Waterloo and the racecourse is about 400m from the station. Looks great to me, if I were going by train.

Bloody hell - does that mean a dress code? Half the punters will never be allowed in, and the rest will spend the day being fumigated.

Will be interesting to see what fascinators wargamers will wear.

Shell bursts will be most common but I’m hoping for the odd messenger pigeon.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

If you intend to arrive in style I recommend the carriage drive from Windsor Castle through the park.
When I were nobut a lad we used to get a day off school to go and wave at HM on her way to Ascot. I don't know if anyone ever went that far but we did play in the park.
