Glossy naps

Did someone mention old school Napoleonics in 25mm?

I could be tempted. Sold some old kendo armour and its burning a hole, need to buy something.

Some AGW units wouldn't break the bank, could probably get the basis for a force?

I feel a possible game could be had someday! Your stuff is too good not to see a bit of action!

There was some talk of doing this at a future ShedCon. My local wargames pal has a sizeable collection and I have quite a few still to paint. If EB and Tim produce a few units then I think we could have a sizeable game. I did think about doing it this year, but there'll potentially be 10 of us at ShedCon and we don't have enough figures for that number . . . . . . yet!

Just to clear up the mystery, EB inherited a huge pile of figures from his late friend Laurie Bryson. Part of that was a painted Napoleonic collection mainly of Minifigs . We are currently cherry picking the best of the bunch to put together a retro collection. This is a slow burn project as it involves quite a bit of refurbishment in painting and basing terms. We are aiming for an eclectic mix, certainly not looking to fight the Napoleonic traffic jam games, more "old school" than that. Lots of nice uniforms, lots of colour and plenty of fun. Our ambition is to have sufficient to mount a game next year some time.

All that.

And,

Units will be around 24 or 12 figures, foot and horse respectively, and based in multiples of four foot or two horse.

And plain bases, no terraining or stuff like that. And glossy of course, very glossy.

Dare I ask about base shape?

Well, needless to say, my bases have rounded corners, but pointy corners will be fine.

I may have some unpainted Minifigs Napoleonics looking for a home. Would you like me to do a list? It will likely be a rather disparate list but cheap, very cheap.
