I’m just flying through some 6mm forDBN. I know there’s super talented 6mm painters on here but I’m putting in limited effort and going for numbers.
How do you approach horse tack? Because I just found myself not believing I was painting horse tack in 6mm.

Three-stage highlight, and I want to see buckles.

I believe you get a horse tack contrast paint from GW that does it for you

In 6mm just a single colour picking out the main pieces of leather and dots for the metalwork.
Incidentally 'horse tack' is also what I use to stick Shetland ponies to the wall.

Ewwww! Don't want to know!
I usually prime black, lightly drybrush grey or beige and then pick out the horsey bits in brown before painting the rider. I find it easier to paint suitably thin straps that way.
