Diningroomcon 2

Last year saw the inaugural Dinigroomcon in Bury where Chain of Command WW2 was played. Is there any interest in a repeat of this in July again this year? It will again be WW2 using Chain of Command, I was thinking along the lines of a scenario called 'The Assault on Bury'.

The date is July 1940 and Hitler has only just embarked on his 'Super Soldier Program'. Hearing that Black Pudding is a superfood, he has despatched his brave Falschirmjager to the home of Black Pudding - Bury Manchester. His troops are instructed to bring back several samples of Black Pudding, as well as the Head Food Technician - Mrs Mary Heyworth. Or die trying.

I thought this would allow us to use our VBCW troops as well as Falschirmjager (should anyone have - anyone know someone who collects FJ? ;) )

Let me know if you're keen and what dates DON'T work for you. Last year we had 5 players plus myself. If more are interested and can commit, I will look into hiring a hall as that will exceed the capacity of my diningroom. If you have other troops you would like to use (and can shoehorn them into the scenario) let me know

Well, it is politically correct to have diversity in the German army

Never mind whether we have German Airborne, it's whether wild horses could drag anyone to Bury. A man has to have some standards you know. For example, Greenock, or Wickford.

Why wouldn’t you want to immerse yourself in the Sex Capital of the World (according to TimW)

Oh Bury is popular!

As much as I'd love to bring my WWII into action I'm needed on standby with hot towels in July,

July may be 'complicated'. I shall make some enquiries...
