No SELWG show in 2020

Post by levied troop »

Rather sadly there will be no show at Crystal Palace this year. The club felt it was time to move on having suffered a 60% loss in profit and declining footfall and trader attendance. They are planning a new show in North London for 2021 so hopefully it’s just a temporary hiccup.

I always did like the smell of chlorine in the (Sunday) morning. It disguised the usual smell at shows.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

I won't miss the Croydon one-way system, or ending up driving a different way home each year because the Council has refused to acknowledge the end of WW2 and replace all the road signs. Paradoxically, North London could actually be an easier journey for me!

Crystal Palace is a rather awkward rail journey, so North London will probably suit me better also.

Bugger, that's two shows off this year already.
