For me it's fine details in contrasting colours - usually the things that make a unit different, such as facing colours, elite company distinctions, vehicle markings, etc.

How do the soldiers feel? Do you paint civilians faces?

I like painting red. Its one of my favourite colours to paint even though most people hate it.

I’ve commented before but The Goat does the finest reds I’ve certainly seen.
I’d give him another award but he’s not got any shelves in his gaming room....
