Re: Ayton 15th-17th November 2024

Thank you Mr P.

That's very reasonable considering the quality of the facilities, and there would be a 'free' game in the Lodge on the Friday.

When do we have to make a commitment on the hall?

Re: Ayton 15th-17th November 2024

Excellent.

I think the conversation with Peeler largely had us booking the hall in the first instant and swapping to the Lodge if numbers didn't meet the required level. The 'decision' one way or the other could be made later in the year (I'm thinking August).

The re-release of these figures are going to piss ( sorry urinate ) on his parade. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235522742797?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050 I couldn't help noticing this caveat and thinking of EB..... COMPLETE WITH ...

Blimey. They're awesome.

A good point well made. You certainly can't accuse anyone of being a nutter for fine detailing.

This will probably boil down to the same discussion as last November.......to play at the Village Hall or the Lodge. Ten does indeed seem to be the magic number......that's ten people actually turning up of course.

Stunningly gorgeous. I was going to wax lyrical about 1/72 plastic armies, but I see that the infantry at least are mostly metal Wodensfeld (and some Old John 'specials'). Iain The cavalry & artillery are all plastic - Revell, Zvesda & Red Box. No one makes French SYW so you have to improvi...

It's a beautiful, and perfectly formed, collection Donald.

Re: 18thC Shoulder Knot - uniform question

Good work, GM. .....bit of a nutter though, right? EB, I put decals on the mitres of 18mm SYW figures and, on occasion, build 1/32 WWI aircraft- including making my own sparkplugs for the engines (proof below). So I don't think I can call anybody else a nutter just for adding a few shoulder knots. ...
