Re: Goat Gallery

Lovely stuff. No doubt they form an essential element of the armies of Miami.

Perhaps Grizz will find something positive to say about these this time. I wouldn't hold your breath on that one David...

Re: Penda’s Punic Project

Brilliantly done and very colourful, I look forward to the forthcoming battle reports. I can't wait to see the terrain you will lay out for these guys and their foes.

Re: A second Ayton 16th-18th October 2020

The distinctions as battle honours is a very good idea Buff. In fact when compiling the Army Lists for last year some units were rewarded or penalised for their performances the year before. So yes, totally in agreement with that. I would reward that French light unit, but then again they are French...

Re: 18thC Imaginations uniform books.

For my 18thC Imaginations period, I appear to have gathered figures for WSS, WAS, and SYW, very mostly S/Smiths. Whilst I don't wish to be too historical with them... or maybe I do... I wonder if you fine chaps could recommend any simple generic all encompassing books/sites for uniform references a...

Hmm, I see your point. I'm still a bit miffed that I get nothing extra for weekends & Bank Holidays. They're just another normal day of retirement.
Yeah, it's good though ain't it?

Re: In the service of Altefritzenburg...

Hinchliffe AWI X Range - some of the best Wargames figures ever, I think. And painted to their absolute maximum advantage - you’ve got a very lovely unit there CB. Ahhh yes, the work of the late and great Steve Hezzlewood, a flawed genius, the equal of, (and indeed better than) many of today's figu...

Re: Bare your soul - fess up what's in your lead pile!

After a recent "restructuring" of our garage/my storage and painting area, I have the following*: These five items are for sale if anyone is interested: - Several hundred 2nd Generation Minifigs SYW French and Hanoverians * I'm not sure even this list is exhaustive, but I would point out that quite...
