That's interesting, quite close to the scale I work in.
Then I saw the price !

It probably says something about this group that my first thought was exactly the same :D

A local wargamer decided to clear out his storage & resell it through the local military hobby shop (where he bought it in the first place). So far he's brought in 3 large boxes of mint & mostly long OOP Battlefront models, some dating back to the precursor company (Military Models of New Zealand), along with lots of old GW and other fantasy stuff.

Andrew, the shop's owner, is kindly selling them for the original retail price. I've just picked up enough Italian guns, armour and transport to fill out my WWII Italian East Africa project for around half the current equivalent RRP, even if the models were available. A good result & hopefully more to come at the weekend. :moredrink:

It's fun to stay at the East Ayton Lodge.....

Warlord Epic Pike and Shotte box set dropped onto my doorstep this afternoon.
At first glance it looks pretty good, at least up to the standard of the ACW.
Some of the detail may be a little lacking of "crispiness" but it's certainly still acceptable at this scale and material.

Am I wrong to find it funny that it's stickered as a "signed copy".......leaves me wondering whether, like the original Kings of War rulebook, it will be the unsigned ones that become a collectable rarity :D

Some warlord landsneckts.

Someone I know randomly asked if I was interested in some as he had some in damaged boxes. So I said yes, what do you have (serendipity at work)

2 battalia boxes, £100 the pair, and he threw in a box of crossbow/aquebus as well.
