Penda's SYW Expansion Project
Re: Penda's SYW Expansion Project
The first of my Hanoverians, infantry regiment Hardenberg, are finished and moved into GHQ ready for varnishing. There's more about them on my blog if you have a few minutes to spare.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Re: Penda's SYW Expansion Project
They're looking very nice, mate. I read your blog entry about the grenadiers. How many do you need? Two? Send me a PM and I'll sort some decals for you, I just need a couple of measurements and a photo of the mitre front (for shape). Attached are a couple of examples- the original artwork from Kronoskaf on the left and a simplified version I used on my Eureka 18's on the right. Or you could do what Willz recommended to Andy and print them onto paper then glue on.

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
Re: Penda's SYW Expansion Project
That's very kind of you, I may take up your offer in due course but I'd like to paint the three infantry regiments up first before I turn back to each one's Grenadier company of four figures. Nice to know by the by that folk actually read the blog too.

Re: Penda's SYW Expansion Project
So a total of 12 grenadiers, mate? Not even the possibility of a combined grenadier battalion? (Go on, you know you want one. )
Let me know what you decide, mate. Decals make things so much easier when doing the complicated mitre fronts, especially for non-artistically gifted people like me.
Of course I read the blog, mate. I'm a nosey bastard.

Nicely painted figures.

The first of the figures for my second Hanoverian infantry regiment, Jung Zastrow. I've actually finished six so far, but these first two are the only ones I've photographed so far.

Very nice. As has been said elsewhere, you can't beat a red coat.

Does this expansion now make it the Eight Years' War (asking for a friend, obviously)?
Good to see Hanoverians being showcased and so nicely.
