Irregular miniatures

Post by ochoin »

I'm starting to look like that prize fool on tmp who posts questions he clearly has no interest in learning the answers to - Pastille or something?

However, I assure you I'm very interested in your replies. I've found what I hope to be useful medieval tents on the Irregular catalogue. It makes no sense to place a small order so I'm looking at their 20mm figures. Are they of a size to match with 1/72 plastics - eg Zvesda? or metals such as Tumbling Dice?

Does Eureka still carry Irregular in Oz? Nic's usually very obliging if you send him an email. That said, I think he's having a long holiday at the moment.

Irregular are small 20mm figures and will look tiny against Zvezda. I'm trying to find a piccie.

This is the best I have.......

Irregular peasants to the left. TD musketeers behind (the pikes are Kennington), the gunners are Les Higgins and bloke on the horse is Irregular on a Les Higgins horse.

Hope that helps.

So would you add, say, Irregular Covenanter pikeman to a unit of Tumbling Dice ECW?

TD aren't just taller, they also have quite a lot more heft about them - so I wouldn't put TD and Irregular together in the same unit. Personally, even without the size disparity, I don't think the two makes complement each other if standing too close.

Thanks, Iain.
Seeing I've bought all your excess TD ECW figures, I'll have to go back to the source.

I think it's actually his annual trip to Salute. Opinion is divided on whether that constitutes a holiday or not.....

I can confirm the learned Essex one is speaking the truth here. Probably TD and Irregular are on the polar opposite ends of 20mm interpretation. I wouldn't mix them but you could start a whole new 42mm shiny period and order some army packs from Irregular if you wanted to pad out an order?
