Because of the unique force compositions in southern and central Africa its possible that Iain is going to be commanding a vast army with no cavalry at all.
He doesn't normally have to do that until Turn 2.

I've got a desert mat and I'll dig out any potentially useful terrain bits

I've got a desert mat so will bring. Also some assorted bits and bobs of scenic items.

I have a desert mat and then a Sicily mat. So a bit of both. I’ll bring that as well. I think Simon had matching ones so we could add them together. I plan to use it for my colonial games as it’s a good fit

I have a good set of adobe/deserty buildings, lots of palm trees, deserty hills and outcrops and a box of jungle if any of that is useful?

I’ve got an orange tree.
