Getting Cards Printed

Post by Paul »

Does anyone know of any companies who could print a couple of decks of cards like this on heavy, glossy card and not charge a kidney for it?

Ooh yes. I like the idea of properly printed cards. I'd like to know as well.

Those are lovely. What did you use to design them?

I used GIMP but ripped the Move/shoot/Fight/armour and morale pictures from original ASOIAF cards.

I think he meant the 'programme' rather than the person

Paul, what size, how many cards per deck and how many decks? It cost me about $100AUD (about 52 quid) to get five decks of 28 laminated, standard playing card sized cards done here. Anything outside the usual playing card size will cost a lot more.

I got mine done by Eprint Online. You can see them below (a standard NMTBH card is shown for size reference)- they have been through quite a few shuffles and deals now and aren't showing any signs of wear and tear. There's a company with the same name in the UK, at https://www.eprint-online.co.uk/. They may be worth an email?

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Excellent thanks, i'll give them a look :)
As for size, bigger than playing cards so I expect more cash needed.

I might print some out at home and laminate them in case I need to make changes before I get a permanent set printed up on nice cards.

Yes, mate. The price would have been near to double if I'd wanted cards the same size as the originals from NMTBH, as it wasn't part of their normal stock.

If you don't need too many, mate, print and laminate may do the job for you.
