Re: Dark Age Wargame at Sutton Hoo 30th July
Oh that looks good. Not far from Tim H & Gary!
I'm surprised we don't have more here around York given there's Towton, Stamford Bridge, Fulford, Marston Moor all near. I've toyed with the idea of a Towton display or participation here but I'm no expert on WotR.
If there was legs on the idea of a Loose Ass Towton weekend I'm sure I could sort it. Including battlefield trip and pub lunch (great pub in the village) Lion Rampant type arangement?

I wonder if the world is quite ready for a LAW-based Battlefield Tours programme.....?

Why do I get the feeling it would be arranged to visit Towton, in a snowstorm?

That looks great! We need more of this sort of integration into existing events/attractions. I wish it was closer to me

I am planning to go to this event. So I shall feed back.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

Donald and his friends "Dahnundah" participate in a model railway show every year. It would be interesting to see what we could contribute to a military historical event.

Phil and I did a similar thing for English Heritage at Boscobel House back in the day. I knew the site warden as I'd taught his children. He wanted an ECW activity weekend which included some reenactors being about too. We had the Education Room, complete with adult & child dressing up boxes. We had a great weekend showing the ECW Battle of Wigan Lane. Sadly he moved on and the new folk were not interested.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!
