After a consultation, or should that be a therapy session, with the Basemeister, aka EB, I have now confirmed my basing. Infantry on 90 by 40mm with 10 figures, or 8 and a mounted officer and cavalry on 90 by 50 with 5 figures. Bases will have rounded corners and be painted a nice shade of green. On a separate
rectangular base I will have the unit name and one of those little square dice holders to record casualties.

So this week I have been painting extra figures to bring my Infantry up to strength. Here are a Fahnenträger for the Erbprinz and a Prussian Zimmermann.

I have used 90 by 40mm bases for Infantry and 90 by 50mm for Cavalry.

The bases are painted a nice shade of Green using Vallejo Golden Olive (857) and I have stuck a piece of green felt to the underside to make it easier to slide the bases across my kitchen table or green mdf playing surface.

The "Erbprinz" unit is looking suspiciously "Charge"-like......

Just saying (and good on ya!).

Very nice! Must be expensive using that Vallejo for bases.....☺
Being cheap, for my toy soldier armies I used Vallejo "Goblin Green" for the figure bases and pots of the sadly missed Wilco emulsion test pots - they had a very nice green that matches the Vallejo.

Fortunately, I stocked up, but sadly not on their quick drying acrylic gloss varnish.......:-(
