Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Are you going for the full British O-o-B, and if so, what level of comparable "build" are you aiming for with the Russkies (and, if applicable, the "other enemy" - according to Raglan - the French)?

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Before the Prodigal Foundry Collection was unexpectedly returned my initial plan was two brigades a side using modified Soldiers of Napoleon rules. If we liked the games then I'd have expanded to three. Now though we will muster between 3-5 Brigades a side, depending on size.
I had started to build the Guards Brigade, six battalions, but got sidetracked also into the Highland Brigade. The returned figures gave me a smaller Light Brigade. So three British infantry Brigades seems the likely outcome.
The Roosians so far will muster two large Brigades of infantry - a four Battalion infantry regiment plus one each of Grenadier, Jaeger and Rifle battalions. Each battalion is between 28-32 figures. They have a lot of artillery too.
Cavalry I'll get to rebasing over the festive season I hope.

I like the Raglan figure and am not surprised to hear that the project is growing

People always talk about "mission creep" as if it were a bad thing. You sound like you have yours completely under control!Penda wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 5:58 pm Before the Prodigal Foundry Collection was unexpectedly returned my initial plan was two brigades a side using modified Soldiers of Napoleon rules. Nice - how many more to go?
Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Quite a number still in the Lead Pimple. Here are the British I've painted thus far for the project. The Roosians will be along in due course.
