Lovely once again!
As you say, less can often be more. I stopped painting (most) shabraque-badges years ago, as combined with coat-tails, scabbards and other bits of kit hanging down, they largely obscured the dominant colour of the shabraque.

Cheers chaps for your kind comments, RMD as you say sometimes it's best to use artistic licence.
Some sources state that these heavy cavalry sword scabbard was brown but I liked gunmetal instead.

Those really are very nice
