Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
The Cossacks, not exactly a horde, but somehow I missed them out of the previous picture. I'm nearing the end of my first GWM Roosian Jaeger battalion and hope to complete them in the next couple of days

Very good. Just out of interest, what paint(s) did you use for the Russian greatcoats? That fawn colour is peculiar to them, I think.

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Baron, I use the Foundry Butternut triad mostly, using Mid then Light in the main, occasionally Shade then Mid. I also use Foundry British Uniform Brown Mid then Light. Recently I've tried Dusky Flash Light over Butternut Shade and Mid. Somewhere there are a couple using Foundry Drab Mid then Light. Cheers! David

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Thanks - that's excellent as I have all of those triads in my paint box(es).
On a related note, I've been thinking of using either the B or C tone of the Drab for the WW2 Japanese I'm currently gluing together, possibly with a green wash (Moss perhaps?) to give the slightly more verdant tinge of the 1941-42 uniforms.
