Medieval pike / spear 25mm Garrison Miniatures
Wanted a break from 18th century stuff.
Bought these pike / spears last September off flea-bay, they were painted.
I have spent the last few days adding ink wash, shading, re-working the wood, metal
and rebasing.
The knights and banners I painted a couple of years ago and have been added for effect.
Banners are made by me.
Willz.

Ah, Grrison - brings back memories! I have a load of SYW Prussian musketeers and fusiliers who are in exactly the same pose as those spearmen!!!

I had some of those but sold them on a few years ago, they were either too big for 20mm and too small for 25mm?BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 10:59 am Ah, Grrison - brings back memories! Yes, I did offer them to you a while back and you said they didn't fit in with the rest of your collection - shame, as they are nice figures.

Peter Gilder used them as Hessians in his AWI collection and they looked rather splendid

Yes, I ended up painting them similarly for my own purposes - the ones with snapped-off muskets became jaeger!
