René Chartrand, this celebrated Canadian historian has passed away. I have so many of his books. He will be missed.
A sad loss to the gaming, modelling and historical community.

Met him several times at the National Archives and had some fantastic discussions with him around the AWI and Canadian/French participation in it. A splendid chap.

That's a loss, Willz. I have a couple of his books and they're a good read, not just good references.
