7th Division decals
Re: 7th Division decals
PS. Unless your printer can print white then you'll have to use white, not clear, paper. Yer mate can explain. So with the above sheet it will be much easier to get the sheet printed by Lasershark. He does an A4 sheet for ~ $25. Add P&P and it will cost you less than $40.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
Re: 7th Division decals
22nd Armd Bde definitely used the Stag's Head signs right from the word go, though the brigade wasn't all that keen on painting any signs at all (or painted them out as a camouflage measure). They became more common immediately after the Normandy Campaign, due to 4 CLY being disbanded and being replaced by 5 RIDG. That bumped 1 RTR and 5 RTR down the seniority list and everyone then painted new signs, hence the sudden appearance of signs on units that hadn't really bothered before.Spanner wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 11:46 amDecal paper to match your printer type (ink jet or laser)can be found in most hobby shops that sell plastic kits, mate. Putting inkjet paper into a laser printer can create all sorts of expensive repairs to cry over, as a mate found out. There can be some other issues, eg some inks "pool" on decal/glossy paper, being designed to be used for paper documents and not for photos. If your mate is printing his own shield decals then he can run through all the joys and fun of home printing.ochoin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 9:20 am Hi, Dal.
One of my pals designs & prints his own decals - shield patterns. I've never inquired into how he does it - standard printer + special paper?
So, if you have a sheet with the symbols, I should be able to do something with it.
Yes, 7th Armoured - the "rats".

I'm not familiar with Rapid Fire, so I'm assuming you're after something like this? I don't know when 22 ARMD BDE went to the "stag head" tac plates, but I think it was after Normandy. Mark can probably tell us the date, and the name of the bloke who signed to order.

Thanks, mate. So "mud" may be the answer to tac plates and bridge class discs?
