Each May and November I try to remember to measure and count the tables. Never have yet.garyp wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 6:21 pm That decision was made, I believe, because the numbers committing to the weekend didn't justify the cost of the hall. Given that we've now got around a dozen attendees I think it reasonable to reconsider - what's the maximum number that would be comfortable in the Lodge? How many tables can we set up? (I think we need a couple of 10-12ft by 6ft tables on the Saturday at least). If the answers to both of those are satisfactory then we may not need the hall (which will save each of us the cost of half a round of drinks in the lodge bar) but if not, or it looks like being a squeeze, then it's worth considering.
Just my two pennies worth.
Looking back at my piccies, I believe the tables are 2'6" x 4' and, I'm reasonably certain that there are ten tables in the Breakfast room. I see that our 'shiny' games used six tables (5' x 12'). I don't imagine there will be any problem nicking a table or two from the main restaurant/conservatory if we need them.
I'm not sure why we would need two 6' x 10/12' tables on the Saturday because, as far as I can tell, there's only one big game planned. I'm sure someone will put on another game but, as no one has claimed any space, I assume they're happy to squeeze in somewhere or to use the Nook.
