Midgard: Heroic Battles.

Post by Paul »

Is anyone else thinking about picking up a copy of this?

They seem like an interesting set of rules for Ancient and medieval gaming (Armies around 100-150 figures) with a squirt of fantasy if you want it!

I'm thinking it might be a nice catalyst to getting me painting a few of the 15mm armies i've got lying around in boxes.....
......i'm a lazy b'stard at heart so need some sort of kick to get me painting stuff :D

Yes. definitely, I liked them - I've played one game with Anthony March who is on the playtester list about 6 weeks ago but I can't remember why I liked them now! :fp:

Waiting impatiently.I’ve watched a few games at shows and been impressed. Also it looks ideal to use the figures from some of my old armies. Any idea when it is due?

Better than I was expecting.
I’ll light a Roman candle to St Chloresterol of Verulanium.

Yeah it's (allegedly) with the printers now and due for a November release and a price tag of around £30?

This is the quote from the author in the update about a month ago:
"After many months of waiting, we’re delighted to be able to announce that Midgard Heroic Battles should be released in November 2024"

So maybe in time for Christmas :D
