Five boxes of Dark Alliance 1/72 plastic fantasy figures have arrived for my new army of Uruk-Kai (or half orcs).
There's a lot of painting between now & when they'll hit the table for a game of Oathmark or, perhaps, Dragon Rampant. Next year, some time?
The plastic pile does not seem to have many missile troops. I know from various ancient gaming, an army not able to throw things is quickly mopped up by an army that can. See some of my NKE vs Sea Peoples' games.
So, at some stage, I'll want 20 or so archers. Any suggestions from sources not DA or Caesar? (you'd need multiple boxes of each to get enough which would not be cheap). And that would fit in with my "man-high" Uruks?
And are not ridiculously "cartoony"?

18mm but hey! it's fantasy, so they'll be a shorter "race".
