My First SYW Brunswickers

Post by RMD »

I was just wondering... How many SYW armies is too many...?

Well here's the start of my 17th SYW army; The Brunswickers! :D

After this, I only intend to do one more SYW army; Russia (which is a 'slightly' bigger army). After that I will have to move on to pastures new and an entirely new, TOTALLY different project... The War of Austrian Succession.

Excellent work, mate. Imhoff is certainly a popular regiment.

Are you going to redo some of the Prussians with the old style colours?
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Your usual, breathtakingly high standard.

How many is 'too many'?
That's between you, anyone you share a house with & your bank manager.
If, at any stage, you do decide you've "too many" (whatever that means), these would sell like the proverbial hot cakes.

I will be more interested than usual to see your Russians.
I have "too many" SYW figures & armies....but would add a Russian army (200 figures?) without a moment's hesitation if anyone made them in "my" scale.

There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Thanks mate.

No, the vast majority of my Prussians have hand-painted flags and in any case, the differences between the versions aren't all that apparent at 15mm! ;) The older Brunswicker flags do look radically different.

My Brunswickers take the story of your Brunswickers into the AWI, and then on through the Napoleonic era. Splendid chaps - you've done them proud.
