M5 half track

Post by ochoin »

I finished this M5 half track for the HQ company of the motorised infantry battalion of the British 7th Armoured Division.

I'm quite please with the result. It was a one off sprue from the Plastic Soldier Company I've had for a while. I'd possibly like more but I'll resist - the infantry companies have the alternate of Bedford lorries in place of M5s so I don't really need more.

A fine job!
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Thanks, all.
TBH, the vehicle is so well made, it would be an effort to paint it badly.

It will look lovely when you have put the markings on.

An extreme example off google:

Minimum would be tac plates, bridge class plate and a big white star on the bonnet, for pilots to ignore, like the REME beastie below (in Duxford).

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
