Re: What a Tanker thread
Does the encyclopedia give a list of useful things for the rest of the crew to do whilst the gunner is hand-cranking the turret? I would reckon to microwave a portion of "Oat-so-simple" porridge in that time, but I'm not sure if M10s were kitted out with microwaves. Or a fridge for the milk.

The M10A1 had cable TV.
Mind you, it was a long cable.

I get lockdown, but I get up again.

The kind of vehicle you’d need when picking Gaynor up for a date

Re: What a Tanker thread
I thought the reason M10s were faster than shermans was that the armour was so light you could throw a rock at it and get a dent or penetration?
Re: What a Tanker thread
Agreed, that’s why it’s armour 4 vs armour 6 on a Sherman

Re: What a Tanker thread
Crews were known to weld on bits of armour from other tanks. Just the thing to use up all those spare hatches in your bits box.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

I reckon they welded heavy crap onto the turret to mess with the chump who had to hand-crank it.

A triple dose today!
Two Stuarts vs a Stug - we nibbled him, my Stuart got the kill.
Then we took on a Pz IV - more nibbling, this time my oppo finished him.
Then I ran a KV 2 vs two Pz IIIs - they nibbled me!
I cheated the inevitable by bottling out before explodication occurred.
