Cheers! I've been looking at her models for a while and must make some purchases on Sunday if she's there.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 10:15 am I shall make a point of getting Annie Norman from Bad Squiddo to come over and have a butcher's at these!!!

The King's forces and the Bishop of St David's this week both receive armoured reinforcements (to a given value of 'armoured')...

I picked up SAGAv2 at Partizan as I was convinced I had enough figures for a game after last year's Ayton.
When I've finished painting some more Saxons I will give the rules a try as well....
Look forward to seeing the next post about the game.

I loved my first two games (yes, TWO games in one club night, despite never having played before - something only previously achieved with Seastrike and X-Wing). It's not a simulation, but makes no claims to be. It's a fun, knockabout game that's ideal for campaigns due to the speed with which games can be concluded.
Like X-Wing, it seems to be a game that's relatively easy to pick up, but tricky to master. I'm going to have to study those battle boards... I started out by sticking cautiously to the top row, which is basic activation of units and basic combat bonus, generally activating units right across the line, only then to have a unit mullered by the Saxons who concentrated on one small area of the battle, doing as much as they could to just one of my units. I quickly learned from that experience!

That's no way to talk about the Countess de Loutson's Foot Hussars!
Ah, a picnic lunch - good to see the Countess's gels aren't neglecting their home economics classes just because there's a war on!

I'm disappointed no one bothered to brass up the Morris Men.

Waste of good ammo - that's what bayonets, rifle butts, and "trench weapons" are for.
