A woman who is in perpetual need of a hot pork sandwich is up there with beer drinkers and those who like to paint figures.

Re: What are people buying?
Not bought but just been given a spare set of the miniatures from the Bolt Action Band of Brothers starter set. I already have the rules so it was no real hardship not to have the dinky little version. Managed to find the Osprey Warrior on the US Paratrooper 1941-45 to go with it but the illustrations are a bit too wishy-washy for use as a painting guide. I'll just have to watch Damian "mouth like a cat's arse" Lewis* on DVD and make notes from that.

Re: What are people buying?
Just arrived are a sample of Baccus 6mm US infantry. I've not used their figures before (other than a ECW army for a friend) so I wanted to see what they were like before investing further.
In the pack came...
2 x U.S. Infantry advancing strips
1 x U.S. Command strip
1 x U.S. 81mm mortar and crew
1 x U.S. MMG and crew
1 x U.S. 60mm mortar and crew
1 x U.S. Bazooka and crew
2 x Artillery crew strips - not sure what nationality or peroid they are from.
They are next in the queue after finishing some of the aircraft I got from EB.

I was very good at SELWG and only bought 1 figure - a Tom Mier sculpted GoT scribe of Westeros sitting at a desk, writing on parchment and stroking a cat. It's a gorgeous figure and will make a nice civil servant for my medieval/tudor armies.
But at £8.19 it was the most expensive single figure I've ever bought.

I get lockdown, but I get up again.
Re: What are people buying?
Ouch! North Star regularly have GoT figures on offer...but still at several times the cost of 'normal' figures. Might be worth keeping an eye on their bargains section though if you're looking for any more.levied troop wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 8:13 pm I was very good at SELWG and only bought 1 figure - a Tom Mier sculpted GoT scribe of Westeros sitting at a desk, writing on parchment and stroking a cat. [EDIT: Actually scrub that, they seem to have dropped the line, which explains all the offers ]
