Subs - You should design a game around your experiences and offer to put it on at next year's show; you can call it "Show me the way to go home" (in 6mm obviously). You could use the ACW train set - just pretend(?) Southern Rail haven't updated the rolling stock in the past 150 years - and borrow some wheeled transport from the Marne WW1 game (pretty sure that was the one where the British used London buses and the French - typical flash gallic gits - used taxis) for the replacement bus services. Players have to see who can get home from the show the same day and without losing any of the table-load's worth of terrain tiles they've just bought. The winner gets to do it for real afterwards. As do the losers. So in effect, everyone will be a winner.

Sounds good, a bit meta - like the Zombie Salute game at Salute.

Could run it as a mega-game/committee game and have a few alternative scenarios, like trying to get into (or out of) the Lake District at the moment. Or just build a 6mm Lake District?

Or use Cluedo as a basis - Subs, in the Gents, with a expired Rail Card and 3 bags of shopping!
