Purple gives the term "19th hole" a whole new meaning, doesn't he?

Ok, if we do 18th century, I’ll use my SYW Brits. If we do 19th century, I have French, though I am looking for an excuse to paint my Zulus

Just paint the buggers. You can never have too many Zulus.

Right then, good to have you on board Jamanicus.
Sorry you can't make it Gary, but there's no reason why we can't do something else before the autumn.

I'm thinking early-mid 19th century, with the option for exceptions (eg. if Purps has just used his own brand of 'man putty' to re-base his lights).

We can look at force sizes next, but people don't need to worry about bringing a whole force, or any figures at all if it's out of period/scale for them, as we can cover that locally. It'll be a few SP 'groups' per player.

In case this is all new:
Regular infantry and all cavalry: in 8s
Skirmish infantry: 6s
Tribal-type infantry: 12s
Militia: 10s
Artillery: 5 crew to a gun (there won't be a lot of this!)
Big Men (leaders) and characters: singles obviously

More to follow, ideas welcome!

Should we stick to the ‘basic starter forces’, around 60 points from memory?

Would you prefer French or Zulus or shall I bring both? Happy to leave either one, or both at home (and then borrow) if it doesn’t fit in with your theme?

Starter-sized forces would be about right, yes.
I'm going to do it as a narrative scenario but can certainly fit you in with a force of French.
I'll get back to you about the Zulus if that's OK, but I'm sure we can have a few extra Wallahs, as they're termed!

I've got loads of suitable tribal and sepoys Dave as you know. Plus 1866 Austrians if required. Let me know what would be needed.
