Thanks.
Yes I’ve got custom sizes from him before - he’s very helpful

When I ordered from PWS, I used to ask the proprietor to not prime the top side of my bases as I wanted a plain metal surface to glue the figures and terrain materials onto; the other surface and the 1mm "sides" were usually ok, but I did find that you got the occasional bit of "chipping" if the bases rubbed together too much. I guess he must have had a few people do this, as he seems to have gone from all-over priming (black) to none at all fairly quickly.

In terms of difference, I'd say it's like priming all sides of a large piece of MDF to stop it warping.

Very helpful, thanks guys.
Hopefully Purps won't send us pics of him in his bunny suit. You know how literal he is.

Can’t you find a local engineering shop that will cut to spec for you? Ideally you want the bases galvanized to stop rust

You’re a charming host.
I’ll be wanting to sniff some Hoppes No. 9 at some point, if it’s not too much trouble.
