I didn't play a grid based game at Dave's once. The clever fellow had arranged the terrain to provide a grid without actually having a grid. Ingenious.

Played Bolt Action on a hex grid and it saved a lot of time, no measuring just a quick grid count.

Love all the Richard Borg stuff, have Memoir44, Napoleon variant and have played a lot of the Ancients and ACW.
